I almost gimped out of this week at my home club
due to a dislocated kneecap. (that's me on the
crutches) That's right, I dislocated my kneecap after
the show on Wednesday night playing basketball
and still did Thursday night's show! (who's got bills
to pay?)
In all honesty I dislocated the kneecap playing
basketball with the local comics. The kneecap
popped out of socket and stayed out! I had to go to
the emergency room at 2:30 in the morning and
have them pop my kneecap back on. I'll never forget
it. The nurse was tapping the syringe with the
morphine in it and asking the doctor, "How much of
this stuff do you want me to give him?"
I grabbed her by the arm and said, "I've got
insurance...top that s*** off!"
The best part of the story - I bought my first
insurance policy on June 26th and paid my very first
premium of $112.00 on July 2nd, my insurance
became effective on July 13th and this happen on
July 21st. Take that Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Hell it's
just Blue Cross now. Thanks to me they had to pawn
that shield.
