Aug. 26-27th - Hyena's Comedy Night Spot,
Arlington, TX
In every group of guy friends there is always one guy in the
group who is known as the "creepy guy." On this night in
Arlington, Texas at Hyena's the "creepy guy" was three rows
back, stage-left, wearing a Deion Branch jersey with the
sleeves ripped off. When I mentioned that the sleeves might
be the problem the crowd agreed. Of course I also had to
point out that he was a big guy who if provoked could rip my
sleeves off too, with the arms still in them.
To which he responded, "Yeah, I know 'mexican judo.'"
"What does that mean? You're going to beat me up with
stolen nunchucks?" I asked. (this gets a huge laugh)
"Judon't know if I got a knife or judon't know if I have a gun."
(this gets no laughs)
"Yeah my punchline was better, (laugh) That's why I get the
microphone. (laugh) That's why I get the paycheck (laugh)
That's why my shirt has sleeves and buttons and yours has
numbers." (huge laugh and exit stage right.)
See 'ya next time Hyena's.
